At Aliste Technologies I lead technology across everything we make — the devices that measure and control a space, the platform they run on, and the apps people actually touch. Hardware, software and human habits, all arguing with each other. That's the fun.

I like the digital life and I like putting it down for a while — the second one is what makes the first one good.

The mission

Solving the world's energy crisis is the actual job.

Automation and energy management are the groundwork. What gets built on top is the point: virtual power plants, demand response, peer-to-peer energy trading between the people who generate power and the people who need it. Not only to cut costs — to use less electricity at all.

It's the same idea underneath everything I do: leave the place in better shape than I found it.

Volunteering

Nothing compounds like a young mind that decides reading is fun.

I volunteer with the Coforge CSR team, visiting government and public schools for storytelling and bonding sessions — an afternoon spent getting kids genuinely excited about books and about school itself.

Education matters more than almost anything else I could give time to. Looking after growing minds is, as far as I can tell, one of the highest-leverage things a person can do.

iOS · Android Rahu Ketu Pooja Tracker A shared diya for your family. Local Rahu Kalam reminders, each member marks their own pooja, and the group streak only holds when everyone shows up.

The journey

Six years, several pivots, one team that kept going.

Off screen: running, cycling, walking, hiking, trekking, reading. Long distances suit me — the point is the hours without a signal.

2018 We started

Aliste began as automation — making ordinary spaces controllable. Two things were obvious early: the hardware had to be cheap enough to be everywhere, and the software had to be good enough that nobody thought about it.

Pivots Changing what we built, not why

We changed the product more than once. Each pivot kept the thesis — spaces should understand their own energy — and threw away the parts of our answer that were wrong. Automation grew into a full energy management system.

The middle years Surviving was the strategy

There were stretches where the goal was simply to still be here next quarter. Those years taught me more about engineering trade-offs than any of the good ones did.

Today 100+ people

Six years in, we are a company of over a hundred, running automation and energy management at real scale. My job changed from writing everything to making sure the people writing it have what they need.
