These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the API Partner website, the API Partner desktop apps, the web app at api.partner.shrynshjn.com/app, the API Partner mobile apps and the sync server behind them (together, the "Service"), operated by Shreyansh Jain ("we", "us"). If you create an account, the User Agreement also applies, and the Privacy Policy explains how we handle data. By using the Service you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use it.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. If you use the Service for an employer or another organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it, and "you" includes that organisation.
2. Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service to build, send, test and share API requests for yourself or your organisation, according to these Terms. You may install the desktop and mobile apps on devices you own or control, and, for apps obtained from an app store, under that store's terms too. You may not copy, modify, resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the Service, or reverse-engineer it except where the law expressly allows you to.
3. Acceptable use
API Partner sends requests from your device to the servers you choose. You are responsible for those requests. You agree not to:
- send requests to, scan, load-test or probe any system you don't own or aren't authorised to test, or use the Service for denial-of-service, credential stuffing, scraping in breach of a site's terms, or any other attack;
- use credentials, tokens or API keys you aren't authorised to use;
- access, or try to access, another person's account or a workspace you aren't a member of;
- probe, scan or test the security of the Service itself, bypass its rate limits, roles or sandbox, or interfere with its operation — report vulnerabilities to us instead (see §14);
- use bots or scripts against the sync server other than through the apps, or put an unreasonable load on it;
- store or share malware, or content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you have no right to hold; or
- break any law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, while using the Service.
Because workspace content is end-to-end encrypted, we can't see it. We may still act on reports of misuse and on what we can see, such as account activity and request volumes to our own server.
4. Intellectual property
The Service — its software, design, text, logos and the "API Partner" name — belongs to us and is protected by law. These Terms don't transfer any of it to you. The content you create in the Service belongs to you or your organisation, as set out in the User Agreement. "Postman" is a trademark of its owner; API Partner is not affiliated with or endorsed by Postman, and imports and exports Postman's format only so you can move your own data. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.
5. Third-party services
The Service works alongside services we don't control — the APIs you call, Google and GitHub sign-in, app stores, your operating system's keychain and our hosting providers. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability, behaviour or the responses they send you.
6. Scripts and imported content
Pre-request and post-response scripts run in a sandbox with time and memory limits and no access to your files. Scripts can still send requests and change variables. Only run scripts, and import collections, that you trust — including ones shared with you by other workspace members.
7. Updates and changes
The apps update themselves, and features may be added, changed or withdrawn over time. Keep your own exports of anything important.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that requests, scripts or tests will behave exactly as in any other tool, or that encrypted data can be recovered if you lose both your Encryption Passphrase and your Recovery Key.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for the effect of any request you send to any system, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or the User Agreement, your misuse of the Service, the requests you send or the content you store with it, or your violation of any law or anyone else's rights.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access, with notice where practical, if you breach these Terms, if we have to for legal or security reasons, or if we discontinue the Service. How your data is handled when an account ends is set out in the User Agreement and the Privacy Policy. Sections 4 and 8–14 survive termination.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; for significant changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We'll try to resolve any dispute informally first — write to us at the address below. If that doesn't work within 30 days, the courts of India will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any consumer-protection rights you cannot give up.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms, and security reports, can be sent to shreyansh@shrynshjn.com.
