1. Account & sign-in

I lost access to my two-factor device or passkey.

Use one of the 10 single-use backup codes shown when you first enabled two-factor authentication. If those are gone too, email support from the address on the account so identity can be verified before access is restored.

I forgot my password.

Use the reset link from the sign-in screen. It's single-use and expires after about 15 minutes; using it signs you out of every other active session as a precaution.

I want to change my email or password.

Both are available from Settings, and both ask for your current password or biometric first as a step-up check.

2. Gmail & bank alerts

A bank alert didn't turn into a transaction.

Confirm the mailbox is still connected under Settings → Integrations — a status of expired or revoked means it stopped watching that inbox. If it's connected, the alert's format may not match a parser rule yet; forward a sample (with account numbers redacted) to support so it can be added.

I want to connect a different Gmail mailbox.

Add it from Settings → Integrations — you can connect more than one mailbox at a time and remove any of them independently.

Two transactions showed up for the same alert.

The review queue flags likely duplicates against nearby transactions before you confirm one; if a duplicate still slips through, delete the extra from the ledger.

3. Categorization, splits & People

A transaction has the wrong category or split.

Open it from the ledger and re-run it through Categorize — category, subcategory, note and the split can all be changed after confirmation, and the People & loans ledger updates automatically.

A balance with someone looks wrong.

Check the individual transactions behind it on their People page — a balance is the sum of every split and settlement recorded against that person, so fixing the underlying transaction fixes the total.

4. Security, sessions & MCP

For what an AI assistant can do once it's connected and how the OAuth flow works, see the MCP page.

How do I revoke a session or an MCP grant?

Settings → Security lists every active session and MCP grant with a one-tap revoke. Revoking asks for your password or biometric first, and takes effect immediately.

I don't recognize a session in the list.

Revoke it right away and change your password — revoking a session ends it on that device immediately, without needing access to it.

5. Data, export & account deletion

How do I export my data?

Settings has an export option that bundles your transactions, people, loans and account data. Requests emailed directly are answered within 30 days if the in-app option doesn't cover what you need.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete account removes your data from our systems immediately — no support ticket needed. It asks for your password or biometric first, and it can't be undone.

6. Reporting a bug or a vulnerability

Email support with what happened, what you expected, and steps to reproduce it. For a security vulnerability, say so in the subject line and avoid sharing account credentials or full account numbers over email — a screen recording or screenshot with sensitive fields blurred is safer than pasting raw data.
