This Privacy Policy explains what information Rahu Ketu Pooja Tracker ("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the App's core features:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
• Profile picture — if you choose to upload one, from your camera or photo library.
• Timezone — used to calculate your local Rahu Kalam window and to schedule reminders correctly.
• Group data — groups you create or join, their members, and invitations sent or received.
• Pooja activity — the days you mark your pooja complete or missed, and when your group's shared diya was lit, which together produce group and streak history.
• Device notification data — used only to schedule and display local reminders on your own device; we do not use a third-party push or analytics service.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, payment information, or browsing history, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the App.

2. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account, and let you log in.
• To calculate your Rahu Kalam window and send you timely reminders.
• To let you form groups, invite others, and see each member's pooja and diya status.
• To calculate and display streaks and history for your groups.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the App and troubleshoot problems.

3. Sharing within your group

Because this App is built around group accountability, your first name, last name, profile picture, and daily pooja/diya completion status are visible to the other members of any group you belong to. Your email address and password are never shared with other users.

4. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in a database operated for this App and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Uploaded profile pictures are stored as files on the App's storage backend. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and group data for as long as your account is active, so that streaks and history remain accurate. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile > Delete Account, which removes your account, takes you out of every group you belong to, and erases your personal pooja history. Group-level history that other members already relied on for their own streaks (e.g. that a day was completed) is not retroactively erased, but is no longer attributed to you by name. You can also email us at the address below to request deletion. In either case, we may retain limited information where required to comply with the law or resolve disputes.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Your choices

• You can edit your profile information (name, profile picture, timezone) at any time from within the App.
• You can disable notifications for the App from your device's system settings.
• You can permanently delete your account and data at any time from within the App, as described above.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.

9. This website's analytics

This website (shrynshjn.com/pooja-tracker) — as distinct from the App itself — uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, approximate location, and device type. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this data, which is aggregated and used only to improve this website. You can opt out using your browser's cookie controls or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
